Market Recap For December 6th, 2021

Friday ended on a positive note, and there was a strong possibility that this week would start off the same. Sure enough, Monday brought a rally.

Yesterday’s close was a solidly bullish one, but the slight fade at the close looked similar to Monday and Thursday of last week. The following days were down days.

Yesterday’s Sector Performance

Industrials stocks barely won the day.

Healthcare finished in the green, but at the bottom.

Five-Day Sector Performance

Utilities are still on top of the week, but that will likely change soon.

Consumer Discretionary is still at the bottom of the week.

ETF Trade Watch

Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR (XLP)

industrials Select Sector SPDR (XLI)

Markets attempted to rally once again. The question now is whether or not that rally will see follow through this time.

If yesterday’s rally can extend, Industrials and Consumer Staples may lead the way, and that puts the XLI and XLP in the spotlight.
