Market Recap For December 8th, 2021

Expectations were for higher prices going into yesterday, but also that a pullback would not be a surprise. Wednesday brought both.

The forecast remains the same. Stocks look set to rally further, but pullbacks should be expected along the way.

Yesterday’s Sector Performance

Communication Services made their way to the top of the market.

Consumer Staples, Financials and Utilities finished in the red.

Five-Day Sector Performance

Energy, Real Estate and Industrials are bunched up at the top of the week.

Consumer Discretionary is still at the bottom of the week, followed by Healthcare.

ETF Trade Watch

Healthcare Select Sector SPDR (XLV)

Real Estate Select Sector SPDR (XLRE)

Markets took a breather for most of Wednesday before finally getting back on the rally train, which seems ready to extend.

If yesterday is any indication, the Healthcare driven XLV and Real Estate filled XLRE could pick up steam.
