Market Recap For January 14th, 2022
Friday brought the lower prices that were expected, but they didn’t last long. Stocks turned higher shortly after the open and continued into the close.
Although it’s tough to gauge how long it might last, market seem poised to head higher to start the week.

As has been the case for quite some time, Energy led the market.
Real Estate’s struggles continue.
Five-Day Sector Performance
Energy ended up being the weekly leader, to no surprise.
Real Estate ended up at the bottom.
ETF Trade Watch
Real Estate Select Sector SPDR (XLRE)
SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production (XOP)
Markets seem likely to head higher to start the week, but how far that may or may not go is a tougher question.
Higher prices may take the XOP to new highs, while lower prices could take the XLRE to lower lows.
