Market Recap For October 14th, 2021
The Nasdaq seemed to have tipped its hand a bit yesterday, leading us to believe that it planned to move higher, and it certainly did.
After Thursday’s rally, all indices are in sync and higher prices appear to be coming, and odds are new highs will soon follow.
Yesterday’s Sector Performance
Materials and Technology led the way yesterday.
Consumer Discretionary had a good day but ended up at the bottom anyway.
Five-Day Sector Performance
The weekly chart hasn’t changed at the top, Energy is still there.
Communication Services are still at the bottom, but that will likely change soon.
ETF Trade Watch
Materials Select Sector SPDR (XLB)
Technology Select Sector SPDR (XLK)
It sure seems as if the rally is in full effect, and if so, Materials and Technology are the current leaders.
Unless there is some sort of major, out-of-nowhere, reversal, look for the XLK and XLB to make a run towards the highs.
