Market Recap For November 5th, 2021

Last week ended the way it started, and the way it performed every day in between, which was with a higher move.

Every additional day of rally brings the market closer and closer to a much-needed pullback. Until one starts, however, the path remains upward.

Yesterday’s Sector Performance

Energy bounced back on Friday to lead the market.

Healthcare ended up as the only sector in the red.

Five-Day Sector Performance

Consumer Discretionary ended up winning the week.

Financials and Healthcare finished at the bottom.

ETF Trade Watch

SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production (XOP)

Healthcare Select Sector SPDR (XLV)

Oil has had a back-and-forth couple of days, but if it has turned higher again, traders should expect the XOP to perform well.

Healthcare had been on a roll, but last week saw a pullback in the space. If it was just a break before running higher, the XLV should challenge its high.
